Staff Selection Commission is soon going to release the notification for SSC JE exam and all the willing candidates must start their preparation for exam. For the recruitment of eligible candidate across several departments of governments sector for the posts of junior engineer, the SSC JE exam is conducted every year by staff selection commission. Reasoning and general intelligence:

Both nonverbal and verbal type questions will be included in the section of general intelligence. The questions on space visualization, analogies, judgment, differences, similarities, decision making, arithmetical reasoning, analysis, figure and verbal classification,discrimination, problem solving, classification, observation, number series, relationship concepts, visual memory etc. will be included in this test.Questions in this section will also test the ability of candidate to deal with symbols and their relationships, abstract ideas, analytical functions and arithmetical computations etc.

General awareness:

In this section, questions will be asked to check the awareness of the candidate regarding the environment around him/her as well as its solicitation to the society. The knowledge of candidates regarding current affairs as well as of the everyday experience and observation methods is also tested in this paper. Questions related to India and its adjacentcountries particularly pertaining to culture, history, economic scene, geography, scientific research, general polity etc. are also asked in this section.

Part A: Structural and civil engineering:

Structural engineering: concrete technology, theory of structures, steel design, RCC design

Civil engineering: estimating, building materials, valuation and costing, soil mechanics, surveying, irrigation engineering, hydraulics, environmental engineering, transportation engineering

Part B: Electrical engineering

Fundamental concepts, magnetic circuit, circuit law, measuring instruments and measurements, AC fundamentals, magnetic circuit, induction motors (single phase) and fractional kilowatt motors, electrical machines, synchronous machines, transmission, generation, estimation, distribution, utilization, costing, basic electronics and electrical energy

Part C: Mechanical engineering:

Theory of machine design and machines, materials strength and mechanics, pure substances properties, thermodynamics 1st law, thermodynamics 2nd law, performance of IC engine, IC engines air standard cycles, combustion of IC engines, lubrication and cooling of IC engines, rankine cycle of boilers, system, specification, classification, accessories and fittings, cycles of air compressors, cycles of refrigeration, refrigeration plant principle, steam turbines and nozzles.

Classification and properties of fluids, fluid pressure measurement, fluid statics, ideal fluids dynamics, kinematics of fluids, flow rate measurement, fundamental principles, centrifugal pumps, hydraulic turbines, steels classification etc.
