SSC CHSL exam will be conducted in three phases. The first Phase is TIER I which is a Computer Based Test. The result of tier -1 will be released separately by the commission. Second phase is TIER II (Descriptive Test) which will be conducted after tier 1 and all those who are able to qualify tier 1 with minimum qualifying marks ascertained by the commission will be considered eligible for tier 2.. This exam will be pen-paper based. Third phase is TIER III (Skill/typing test). All the shortlisted candidates from the TIER I will have to appear for the next exam i.e. Tier II. This test will be completely descriptive paper and candidates who clear the TIER II, will have to go for the Skill Test. Minimum qualifying marks in TIER II will be 33 percent. The performance of the candidates in this test will be included in preparing the merit list. The commission prepares the final list of selected candidates on the basis of the performance shown by candidates in different stages of selection separately. All the candidates who are able to clear first stage of selection must start preparation for next stage.
